On board the Luton Airport Express

Free on-board WiFi

Need to check flight information, catch up on emails or just browse the internet? Connecting to the Luton Airport Express on-board WiFi is quick and easy - select the EMR_WIFI network and follow the instructions on screen. You don’t need to log in or provide any personal information, we only ask you to accept the terms and conditions before you connect.

Our WiFi is 4G but the mobile strength can vary depending on how many people are using it, particularly on busy trains, so we ask you not to stream or download videos and music on board.

Luggage

Our trains to London Luton Airport have overhead racks for hand luggage and smaller bags, as well as space for suitcases.

You can bring a maximum of three items of luggage on board - up to two larger items and a smaller bag - but make sure you only bring the luggage you can carry yourself.

Travelling with children

We want to make your train journey with the family as simple as possible. All our trains have on-board toilets with baby changing facilities, and most of our stations do too. Pushchairs and prams are welcome on the train, and should be folded and stored safely during the journey. Please keep the wheelchair spaces clear for wheelchair users.

There’s no catering service on the Luton Airport Express so you might want to pack some snacks for the journey. You can also buy hot and cold food at our stations before you catch the train.

Bikes on trains

There aren’t any dedicated cycle spaces on the Luton Airport Express but you can bring a folding bike on board at any time as long as it’s fully folded and safely stowed throughout the journey.

You can travel with a full-size bike in the vestibule at quieter times of day. Please stay with your bike and make sure it doesn’t block the train doors or the priority wheelchair space. On weekdays, full-size bikes are not allowed on Luton Airport Express trains arriving into London St Pancras International before 10:00 or departing from London between 16:00 and 19:00.

Train refurbishments

As part of a wider refurbishment project announced by East Midlands Railway the Luton Airport Express Trains will be refurbished. The trains will be upgraded to provide better facilities including new 2+2 seating throughout the trains in a mixture of airline style and bay seats, luggage racks, charging points and new passenger information systems.
